On April 22, which is celebrated as Earth Day globally, the resort will host the "ourHOME" Nature Conservation Forum, a marquee event of this year's Earth Month celebration.

The forum will bring together guests, nonprofit organizations, volunteers, and resort representatives for speeches and panel discussions, highlighting the importance of nature conservation.

Xi Zhinong, a renowned National Geographic explorer and wildlife photographer, will be a special speaker at the forum, sharing his experiences of capturing wildlife through photography. The sharing sessions aim to raise public awareness and inspire conservation efforts.

The month-long annual tradition will further highlight Disney's dedication to nature conservation and reducing environmental impact. Disney calls these collective efforts "Disney Planet Possible."

For the Earth Month kickoff, Shanghai Disney Resort introduced a Spring Audio Flower Guide in Mandarin, English, and Shanghai dialect through a mobile brochure showcasing 36 types of flowers in the resort. Notable celebrities such as actress Pan Hong, actor Chen Long, singer and actress Wang Ju, and TV host Zhou Jin lent their voices to the guide, allowing guests to explore the park's diverse flora.

In addition, Disney VoluntEARS will engage in a cleanup project at Dongtan, a tidal flat on Shanghai's Chongming Island, during Earth Month.

This year also sees the return of beloved traditions, including the "Celebrate Earth Month Fair," which will be held in Disneytown from April 19 to 22. The fair will feature environmental activities in partnership with various nonprofits. Disney cast and community members will also participate in Earth Month initiatives like the nature-themed "Disney Reading Together" program.

Disney's Earth Month activities emphasize the resort's ecological improvement efforts in China. In December last year, coinciding with the launch of the world's first Zootopia-themed land, the resort donated 1 million yuan ($138,200) to the China Environmental Protection Foundation (CEPF), underscoring its dedication to wildlife conservation. The donation kick-started the "My Hometown Animals and Me" campaign, a two-year initiative aimed at bolstering wildlife and habitat protection to ensure animals that inspired the residents in the world of "Zootopia" continue to thrive in their natural habitats.
